This is great news and i'm offically excited! For those that don't know 'Blakes seven' was a 1970s Sci-fi TV show here in the UK.
It follows the exploits of an former resistance leader who is brainwashed and framed for crimes he didn't commit. He goes on the run in outer space with a rag tag crew trying to clear his name and destroy the evil government and its leader 'servalan', Who was kind of hot if I recall, in a wierd,dominatatrix type way.

so it's full of cliches and the original was cheap and nasty looking but it was so fucking awesome, Think of the A-team crossed with firefly crossed with a bad night at the disco .I remember,as a kid this used to send shivers down my spine, much better then Dr Who, which also is enjoying a renaissance.
Ooh I found a video of the finale of the original series, its pretty fuckin funny.




anyway the story was pretty cool, so I reckon this remake should be shit-hot!

Just found this post. Anything ever happen with Blakes 7? I remember it from its run here in the states in the early to mid-80's. It was surprisingly well written for that era of TV scifi.

I'm not sure. It was all over the internet and then it went quiet.
but I think it was something to do with this..
(I haven't actually watched this yet, but i will later.)
